Gabriella ‘Gaby’ Gitman, a fashion merchandising graduate, started her passion for street wear through photography and very quickly developed a unique style of her own.
Her photography features a unique perspective by combining traditional street wear style photography with fashion editorial photography. Gaby is an expert in making the pieces the focal point in her photography, and puts her own style into it which makes it stand out and different from most artists and creative. Gaby Gitman is a multi-talented woman that is making an impact in the creative industry.
Gaby and her business partner together founded and built Overdose Toronto, a luxury street wear consignment shop located in the heart of Downtown Toronto’s fashion and arts district at 273 Queen St. West.
Along with managing Overdose Toronto, Gabriella is one of the lead designers in the brand’s in-house clothing line and manages the social media content, marketing, and oversees all operations within the brand. Gabriella finds inspiration in her Overdose family and business partner by providing motivation and support to one another through all that they do.
Gaby grew up in Canada but was born and raised in Israel until she was eleven years old. Growing up in a household of parents in the fashion industry, Gaby was introduced to the art of style and fashion at a very young age.
With her mom being both a fashion designer and stylist, she would give Gaby her scraps off extra fabric so she could experiment. Gaby would use the extra scraps of fabric to glue, pin, and sew clothing for all her dolls which lead to one day starting and establishing a street wear consignment store of her own. Gaby’s dream is to one day see Overdose Toronto as a household name that is located in cities all over the world.
